As I was on my way to the gym this morning, I noticed a funny smell coming from my car, like something was burning or melting. I pulled over and popped the hood with the car still running. It was dark, so I used the flashlight on my phone. No smoke was visible, and strangely the smell seemed to be worse inside. So I continued on. When I got home, after the sun had come up, I think I figured out the source of the smell. There was a pile of debris in my parking spot that the landscapers must have left there yesterday. Certainly some of it found its way into the engine compartment.
